The Art of Geek

Art comes in all shapes, sizes and forms. Anything geek is a true work of art and a playground to the average dreamer.

I have been sick for about two weeks now and have had little time to do anything super constructive. I spent much of my time indulging in some geekery and having a blast as I did it. To have fun is a sure way to better your health, or so I told myself. Here is a small sampling of my recent activities.

World Of Warcraft is where I spent some of my days, but mostly my nights, fighting enemy forces and trying to get enough emblems to get my Tier 9 Armor. I was recently re-addicted to the game and it drove its maddening claws into me. Something about upping my Undead Mage to uber status made me feel all warm and yummy. (Or it could have been the sickness, who knows?) I wont bore you with screen shots....oh who am I kidding. Here you go!

Next on the agenda is Marvel Zombies: Dead Days. I picked this up in hard cover and felt like a teenager once more. The basic plot is Earth's super hero's are attacked by some mysterious virus that turns anyone bitten into a zombie. They keep their mind but are so filled with a hunger for living flesh, they must eat anyone around them. The virus is pretty fast acting and can destroy an entire world in 24 hours. This is the bare bones of the plot but I have always thought that zombies just made everything better! I am just about finished and will be looking to get the entire collection. I did buy Marvel Zombies Vs. The Army of Darkness as well and will read that one next.

And finally, NovaBelle came across this game and introduced it to me. It goes by the name GemCraft. It is a very addicting tower based game where you mix and match gems to create powers. You put those gems on your bases so they destroy enemy creatures trying to take you out. It is hard to tear away when you get into it. If you ever need a time waster, this is the game for you. But I cannot deny how much fun it is. A few hours of my life were gone due to this game but none the less, it was a fun ride.

Give GemCraft a try, if not for the amusement of getting back at your bosses for making you work for your pay check.

As I said, I love to play in other people's dreamworlds and the geek world is full of them. So I suggest you start playing. I hear being serious all the time causes cancer. You don't want cancer, do you?
